'Stop Answering Governors & Concentrate' - National Conference Delegate To Jonathan

President of the Court of Appeal and a delegate representing Katsina State at the National conference, Justice Mamman Nasir has called on President Jonathan to desist from exchanging words with state governors. Speaking on Wednesday at the confab while raising a motion of national interest, Justice Nasir said Jonathan should see himself as a leader and be able to swallow insults from opposition, while also advising him to focus
on solving the current security crisis rocking the nation rather than engaging in a war of words with the governors. He also called on the governors to stop raining curses on the President but rather, they should come together and find a lasting solution the killings of innocent people and other security challenges in the country. "What we are witnessing in the country at the moment does not call for verbal attacks between our President and governors," he said. Justice Nasir was however countered by Chief Sergeant Awuse, a delegate representing the South-South geo- political zone, who said the President cannot sit and watch some governors abuse him publicly, adding that responding to criticism would send a wrong message to the public. "Everybody has some madness in him, the President is a human being, he cannot continue to keep quiet and watch the governors abuse him. He needs to respond to these unguarded utterances. Governors should show respect to the President. No governor would tolerate that from council chairmen," Awuse said.
